Schedule: M-F, 40 hrs per week

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited college or university
  • SHRM-CP preferred
  • 3-5 years Human Resource Business Partner experience preferably in the biofuels production/plant environment
  • Experience working in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

ABOUT US:

South Bend Ethanol, LLC, is the most recent plant acquisition. As a global leader in the renewable energy industry, this will be Verbio’s second US production facility following the successful commissioning of its Nevada, IA plant. The site will be developed over the next three years incorporating Verbio’s advanced engineering and operating technology practices. Verbio intends to expand and develop the plant into a modern biorefinery at an estimated total investment of $230 million.

In January 2018, VERBIO AG formed its US subsidiary, VERBIO North America (VNA), with headquarters in Livonia, Michigan, USA. VNA plans to build, own, operate, and finance biofuel facilities across the United States and Canada.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary responsibilities are:

  • Manages a full employee life cycle for the designated plant location.
  • Ensures HR compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to personnel matters.
  • Supports plant recruitment efforts and serves as the main point of contact for all plant new hires.
  • Serves as a dedicated strategic business partner for the plant management.
  • Provides mentoring and coaching to leaders and team members in the areas of talent development, employee engagement, performance management, etc.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Oversees onboarding/offboarding process to ensure all required documents are collected and recorded.
  • Assists with conflict resolution and investigations.
  • Works with department leaders to develop staffing forecasts and ensure the right talent is in the right roles to meet plant objectives.
  • Address employee questions on all HR related topics and directs employees to the right SME.
  • Works with managers and employees to create learning and development plans; identifies gaps in training needs and resources and works with the training team to find solutions.
  • Supports the Talent Team in developing and implementing strategies and processes necessary to achieve firm headcount and talent objectives.
  • Works with managers and employees to complete performance review cycles.
  • Assists with the benefits open enrollment process and ensures benefit enrollments and terminations are processed timely.
  • Take initiative on various HR projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborates with the N.A. HR team to align with the regional processes, targets, and goals.
  • Nurtures a positive working environment.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
