JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator shall be responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources department and is administratively responsible to the Director of Human Resources. The HR Coordinator serves as the HR front office and assists in the coordination of daily HR activities.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares and orders name badges.
  • Ensures department has sufficient office supplies.
  • Assists with coding invoices for the department.
  • Assists department with planning and coordinating engagement events.
  • Assists the department with other administrative and clerical tasks as needed.
  • Completes employment verifications and reference checks.
  • Creates, maintains, and audits all personnel, medical, and payroll files to ensure compliance with DHS, DHS, and HR regulations; files must be kept current.
  • Ensures completion of I-9 and tracks status of any work authorizations.
  • Assists in the completion of student work permits and monitors expirations and renewal dates.
  • Tracks 18 th birthdays for fingerprinting eligibility.
  • Assists in the maintenance of the HRIS system to include basic data entry.
  • Tracks, enters, and generates monthly qualifications due report (RN, LVN, CNA, CDL, Guard Card, CPR, Annual Physical, PPD, Questionnaire, etc.) and communicates to Directors and Supervisors upcoming and expired qualifications.
  • Runs monthly reports on Relias to check for overdue course completions and sends overdue reports to Directors and Supervisors.
  • Runs monthly reports on the HRIS for upcoming and overdue performance evaluations and sends overdue reports to Directors and Supervisors.
  • Runs reports on annual physical and PPD requirements and ensures employees have the necessary authorization forms to complete the requirement.
  • Assists in the creation and coordination of PAFs.
  • Maintains new hire and termination logs.
  • First point of contact for general inquires to the HR department; greets and assists HR visitors.
  • Assists with preparation of HR newsletter.
  • Assists with the preparation of flyers and posters for human resources events and activities, as needed.
  • Maintains the hiring workflow to include resume/application reviews, coordinating candidates with the Department Heads and Supervisors, making offers of employment, pre-boarding coordination, on boarding coordination, and post boarding follow-up.
  • Responsible for maintaining the recruitment database and employment website.
  • Assists with planning and implementation of employee events.
  • Assists Director of Human Resources with development, coordination, and implementation of ongoing employee recognition programs.
  • Coordinates Employee of the Month, Anniversaries, and Birthday processes and activities.
    All Employees must be able to pass background checks (fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, employment references) as required by a licensed residential care facility. Some of the roles in our community require that we ask about your COVID-19 vaccination status.
