Position Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable local, state, and federal employment laws. This role serves as a key resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on employee relations, leave administration, HR systems, benefits, and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leave Administration  * Administer employee leave programs including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Washington State Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML), Washington Paid Sick Leave, and other company-provided leave programs  * Serve as the primary point of contact for employees requesting leave and provide guidance on eligibility, timelines, and required documentation  * Review leave requests and supporting medical documentation for completeness and compliance  * Track employee leave balances and maintain accurate leave records  * Coordinate leave benefits with payroll, benefits providers, and managers  * Ensure required notices, forms, and communications are provided within regulatory deadlines  * Monitor intermittent leave usage and ensure accurate tracking  * Communicate return-to-work requirements and coordinate fitness-for-duty documentation  * Maintain confidentiality of medical and leave-related information  * Stay current on changes to federal and Washington State leave laws and requirements  HRIS & Employee Software Administration * Set up new employees in company software systems, including HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, benefits, and other employee platforms  * Maintain accurate employee data across all HR and employee management systems  * Process employee status changes including hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations  * Troubleshoot employee access issues and coordinate with IT or vendors as needed  * Assist with implementation, updates, and maintenance of HR-related software systems  Employee Relations & Support * Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits, and leave programs  * Provide guidance to supervisors and managers on employee relations matters  * Assist with performance management processes, disciplinary actions, and documentation  * Support conflict resolution and workplace investigations as assigned  * Promote consistent application of company policies and practices  Recruitment & Onboarding * Assist with recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling  * Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation  * Ensure all new hire documentation is completed accurately and timely  * Maintain applicant tracking and hiring records  Compliance & Recordkeeping * Maintain accurate employee personnel and medical files in compliance with applicable laws  * Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations  * Assist with policy updates and employee handbook administration  * Support internal and external audits  * Maintain required labor law postings and documentation  Benefits Administration * Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and questions  * Coordinate benefits changes related to leave events  * Serve as liaison between employees and benefits providers  * Support annual open enrollment processes  Training & Development * Coordinate employee training sessions including compliance-related training  * Track required certifications and training completions  * Assist with development of HR training materials  Additional Responsibilities * Assist with payroll processing support as needed  * Support HR projects and initiatives  * Perform other duties as assigned  Qualifications Education & Experience * Minimum of 3–5 years of HR experience required  * Experience in a multi-location or fast-paced environment preferred  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Strong working knowledge of FMLA, Washington PFML, and other applicable leave laws  * Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws  * Strong organizational and time-management skills  * Excellent written and verbal communication skills  * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive medical information  * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems  * Ability to manage multiple deadlines and regulatory timelines  * Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy  Preferred Qualifications * HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar  * Experience with multi-location workforce administration  * Experience conducting workplace investigations  * Experience implementing or managing employee software systems Pay ranges from $23.00 - $26.00 per hour.  We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
