Position Summary We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support the employee lifecycle across Avanti Holdings. This role will assist with onboarding, employee records, HRIS updates, background checks, employee changes, documentation, payroll preparation, benefits support, and HR-related follow-up. This is not a general administrative position. We are looking for someone with hands-on HR experience who understands the importance of accuracy, confidentiality, communication, empathy, and follow-through. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and service-minded. This person should care about the employee experience, communicate with kindness and professionalism, and be willing to take initiative and go above and beyond when needed to support the HR team and the people we serve. Key Responsibilities Coordinate onboarding through Paylocity, including offer letters, new hire setup, onboarding workflows, and employee documentation. Manage background checks through Checkr and follow up to ensure timely completion. Maintain accurate employee records and support HRIS data integrity. Process employee changes, including status updates, pay changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations. Respond to employee and manager HR questions with professionalism, empathy, and discretion. Track time-off requests, approvals, and HR follow-up items. Assist with payroll preparation, audits, and reporting. Support benefits administration and employee questions. Maintain organized HR documentation, including notes to file and personnel records. Assist with HR communications, compliance tracking, employee relations documentation, and HR projects as needed. Growth & Development Responsibilities Assist with audits, and reporting across multiple entities. Support benefits administration and employee questions. Help draft HR communications, policies, and updates. Assist with employee relations documentation and investigations. Track compliance items across multiple states. What Will Set You Apart 2 to 4 years of Human Resources experience. Prior experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, People Coordinator, or similar HR support role preferred. Experience with Paylocity, ADP, or another HRIS system preferred. Exposure to onboarding, employee records, payroll preparation, benefits, or compliance tracking strongly preferred. Experience supporting multi-location, multi-state, franchise, fitness, wellness, healthcare, hospitality, restaurant, or retail teams is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. People-first mindset with the ability to support employees and managers with empathy, professionalism, and care.
