QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • Minimum of 7- 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or addiction recovery settings preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, compliance, and best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Human Resources Director will lead the HR team and oversee all aspects of workforce management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws. This role is essential in developing HR strategies that support organizational goals while fostering a positive workplace culture aligned with Lightshare’s mission and values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and growth plans.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on HR matters, including workforce planning and organizational development.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and employee engagement.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment, ensuring the hiring of qualified professionals who align with our mission.
  • Develop strategies for talent retention and succession planning.
  • Implement onboarding programs that enhance employee engagement and reduce turnover.
  • Promote a healthy and supportive workplace by addressing employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances.
  • Oversee performance evaluation processes and support managers in employee development.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction, well-being, and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and EEOC regulations.
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
  • Manage HR audits, risk management, and workplace safety initiatives.
  • Oversee employee compensation programs, including salary structures, bonuses, and incentives.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to benefits offerings to enhance employee satisfaction.
  • Design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills, leadership development, and compliance training.
  • Support managers in coaching and developing their teams for high performance.
