Job Details Job Location: Central Office - Covington, KY 41011 Position Type: Full Time POSITION TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR REPORTS TO: Executive Director FLSA -Exempt-Salary $75K GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Generate and maintain agency personnel records and benefits; assure agency compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements regarding human resources issues. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Assure compliance with all requirements of the “NKCAC Employee Handbook”. Submit changes as may be required in accordance with Handbook requirements; distribute copies to all employees as may be applicable. Initiate and maintain all personnel records, physical and within the GMS system. Assure the confidential nature of all employee records. Conduct new employee indoctrination/introduction to agency policies, procedures, benefits, and responsibilities of employees and the agency. Establish and maintain records of all agency training programs; assist in planning and presenting various training programs and/or subject suggestions. Maintain all employee benefit records. Assure all employee insurance coverage (Health, Dental, Life, etc.) is submitted, and all Insurance billings are correct and reflect correct monthly coverage. Submit verified billings to Finance for payment. Maintain retirement records and submit the monthly report to the Kentucky Retirement System; submit to Finance for payment of applicable employee/agency withholding accounts. Maintain State and local tax records, assure correctness, and submit reviewed records to finance for Payment. 6. Coordinate periodic management meetings to review ongoing process/ procedural issues applicable to management team discussion/ decision. 7. Act as liaison between agency and employees or departments in matters concerning benefits or H.R. concerns. 8. Act on behalf of the agency regarding H.R. activities, including various insurance programs, Workman’s Compensation, records, and required reporting activity. Review and submit for solicitation and quote those policies subject to competitive quote. Review and submit State Unemployment records as required, including a quarterly reporting Process. 9. Perform functions as requested by the Executive Director. QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Business or associated field emphasizing Human Resources or Human Services. A combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted for this requirement. Good communication and organization skills are required. Works well independently. Knowledge of Federal and State laws. Familiar with computer programs and record keeping. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
