Description

The Human Resources Director coordinates and implements all aspects of the Human Resources function in the district. The Director serves as the principal advisor to the Superintendent in matters related to personnel function including employee relations, recruitment, employment, regulatory compliance and reporting, policy administration, and record keeping for all licensed and non-licensed employees. This is a full year position.Qualifications: Strong knowledge of compensation, health benefits administration, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, and related regulations; Excellent financial, statistical, analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels of the organization; Understanding of human resource functions as well as principles and procedures of public sector human resource administration especially employee relations in a union environment; Experience with managing and analyzing human resources data and demonstrated knowledge of a variety of data reporting, retrieval and analysis tools and processes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Provide guidance to administrators & directors on performance management and conflict resolutions.-Answer employee inquiries regarding personnel procedures and/or collective bargaining provisions: interprets and applies collective bargaining agreement language to deliver services in adherence with established guidelines.-Coordinate district compliance with teacher and administrator licensure, re-licensure and waiver request; Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA); Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA); American with Disabilities Act (ADA); Massachusetts Teachers Retirement System (MTRS); Criminal Offender Records Inquiry (CORI); Statewide Applicant Fingerprint Identification Services (SAFIS); Workers Compensation and other applicable laws and regulations.-Oversee the onboarding process for new employees.-Process employee exits resulting from resignation, release and/or retirement.-Develop and maintain the school districts employee handbook, personnel procedure manual, personnel records, and school employee job descriptions.-Oversee the daily administration of employee benefits programs like health insurance, dental, vision, retirement plans, life insurance, disability coverage, and other voluntary benefits.-Perform other duties as requested by the Superintendent or designee
