REQUIREMENTS FOR THE (HRD):

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience (Preferred)
  • Two years prior human resources experience preferred; Prior experience in health care useful.
  • Demonstrated computer skills required.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the HR department. (e.g., developing HR policy manuals, employee job descriptions, performance evaluations, etc.)
  • Recommend to the administrator the number and level of personnel to be employed.
  • Review all requests from department directors for new or replacement personnel, fill requests as approved, and arrange interviews, appointments, tc.
  • Assist in determining departmental staffing, evaluate employee performances, and make recommendations to the administrator concerning wage and salary adjustments, hiring, terminations, transfers, etc.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent employee information in accordance with the Privacy Act, as well as our facility’s established policies governing the release of information.
  • Ensure that appropriate documentation concerning the employee’s right to work in this country is verified in accordance with current laws, regulations, and guidelines concerning such matters, and that appropriate documentation of such review is filed in the employee’s personnel record within the specified time frame
  • Develop, implement and maintain an adequate personnel record filing system that meets the needs of the facility and complies with current employment practices.
  • Develop strategies to retain healthcare professionals, such as mentorship programs, career advancement paths, and recognition initiatives.
  • Implement a thorough screening process to ensure candidates meet the necessary qualifications and experience.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the healthcare roles you’re recruiting for. This includes clinical roles as well as non-clinical roles (administrators, support staff).
  • Familiarize yourself with the specific skills, qualifications, certifications, and experience required for each role.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
