The Pumpkin Patch is currently looking to hire a new Human Resources Director. This is a part-time position with flexible hours. Duties including hiring and onboarding new employees, training and orientation, maintaining and enforcing professional development requirements and staffing requirement, outlining job expectations, updating employee disciplinary reports, meeting with staff to address interpersonal issues, and firing staff when needed.
The ideal candidate will come with a positive attitude, a strong desire to learn and be part of a team, and 1-2 years of experience with Vermont Early Childhood Education. This includes (but is not limited to) navigating the Bright Futures Information System and Northern Lights Early Childhood Career Ladder, as well as the Vermont ECE regulations and standards. This candidate should also hold values that align to our own (see the Pumpkin Patch’s program philosophy and mission statement below).
This is a part-time/ year-round position, with flexible hours. We offer a competitive salary, a paid thirty minute break each day, as well as 15 days paid vacation and sick-time after the first 30 days, paid holidays and professional development.
Employees must successfully complete a full background check and should have some experience in HR or a degree in a related field.
