This role plays a key part in employee relations, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations, ensuring consistent practices and strong employee experience.   Key Responsibilities: * Employee Relations * Serve as a key resource for employee relations matters including performance management, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution * Conduct investigations and provide recommendations aligned with company policy and legal guidelines * Coach managers on employee relations and risk mitigation * Support employee engagement and retention initiatives * Compliance & Regulatory Management * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws * Manage DOT compliance and driver qualification files * Administer random drug and alcohol testing programs * Oversee Workers’ Compensation case management * Maintain OSHA recordkeeping and support safety compliance * Ensure EPA compliance as applicable * Maintain audit-ready records and support audits and inspections * HR Operations & Generalist Support * Support onboarding and offboarding processes * Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment * Maintain employee records and process HR data changes * Administer FMLA/LOA processes * Respond to employee HR-related inquiries * Partner with leadership on HR guidance and support Qualifications: * Bachelor’s Degree preferred * 4+ years of HR experience * Experience in DOT or safety-sensitive environments preferred * Knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, DOT) * Experience with Workers’ Compensation and drug testing preferred * SHRM or PHR certification preferred Skills: * Employee relations and conflict resolution * Strong attention to detail and documentation * Confidentiality and discretion * Organizational and time management skills * Adaptability and communication skills Physical Demands: * Must be able to sit for extended periods in a standard office environment.     ABC Companies is an equal opportunity employer.  All employment decisions are based on business needs, job requirements, and individual qualifications, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, genetic information, and other legally protected categories.   #ZR
