Description JOB TITLE: Human Resources Generalist POSITION NUMBER: 2601-CORP-HRG POSITION LOCATION: Atlanta, GA, USA ANTICIPATED START DATE: Two weeks after candidate identification TRAVEL: As required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position ASRT, Inc. provides scientific, information management, management consulting, bioinformatics, and administrative program support to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other Federal and private sector clients. The successful candidate will be a full-time employee of ASRT, Inc. assigned to work in the Corporate office in Atlanta, GA. SCOPE OF WORK This position performs professional work overseeing a range of administrative functions related to human resource with a focus on Recruiting & Talent Management. The Human Resources Generalist will conduct routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, enforcing company policies, and ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal laws. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the talent acquisition process, which includes recruiting, on-boarding, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, and collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Facilitate expansion into new states by recruiting for new business and existing out of state positions. Ensuring that the recruiting and on-boarding process is complaint with the state labor laws. This includes establishing unemployment accounts and state DOL recruiting accounts. Utilize creative sourcing methods including internal and external databases, and networking with industry organizations and universities, to attract high-level candidates. Prepare and maintain job requisitions and position descriptions and oversee candidate pools in Applicant Tracking System (Paylocity) to meet OFCCP compliance standards and provide weekly updates to Program Managers and Senior Leadership on the status of job searches. Conduct pre-employment activities including, sending offers, initiating background checks, and completing reference checks. Administer on-boarding and separation process, to include pre-employment activities, completion of onboarding paperwork, coordination of in-processing at client worksites, processing vaccination requirements and maintaining immunization records, conducting new hire orientations as well as employee separation activities, to include conducting exit interviews, scheduling property returns, completing Department of Labor (DOL) notifications. Prepare required documentation for employee changes including, terminations, change of assignments, promotions, salary increases, etc. Work with HR leadership to compile HR data and metrics from HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and prepare data analysis. Maintain knowledge and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, particularly as it relates to talent management, and recommended best practices and new technologies in human resources; implement policies and practices to maintain compliance. Work collaboratively with HR leadership to ensure all essential HR functions are carried out effectively. Perform other related duties as required and assigned by ASRT, Inc. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required A minimum of three years of job-related experience preferred SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is preferred Required: Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard all documents and files containing individual personnel information and company proprietary information Prior Applicant Tracking System/HRIS experience, specifically Paylocity Excellent verbal and written communication skills Thorough knowledge of employment laws and best practices Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism, and diplomacy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Desirable Experience recruiting for scientific positions Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times Language Skills: The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
