The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations while also contributing to more specialized areas such as benefits administration. This remote position reports to the Director of Human Resources, requires strong judgment, confidentiality, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate brings a collaborative mindset and experience supporting employees across the full employment lifecycle in this fast-growing services company.

REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to: prioritize tasks, act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using HRIS (Rippling preferred)
· Ability to travel in person for team meetings 2–3 times per year
· Minimum three years of Benefits Administration required
· Minimum two year of HR Generalist experience required

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

· Coordinate and administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, voluntary benefits, wellness programs, and fringe benefit plans
· Resolve escalated coverage issues in coordination with external vendors and carriers
· Manage qualifying life events, new hire enrollments, and termination processing in the benefits administration platforms
· Partner with payroll to ensure timely and accurate benefit deductions, retroactive adjustments, and fringe allocations
· Conduct monthly billing audits and benefit invoice reconciliations to validate enrollment accuracy and prevent overcharges or missed enrollments
· Support the development of benefits-related communications, including open enrollment guides, FAQs, and policy updates
· Maintain accurate benefit records and support audit requests from vendors, leadership, or compliance authorities
· Monitor plan compliance with ACA, ERISA, and other federal and state regulations
· Prepare and submit required compliance reports related to benefits and employment, such as ACA filings.
· Collaborate with recruiting, payroll, and operations to ensure alignment across teams
· Understands and supports the organization’s human resource strategy
· Support the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, performance reviews, and HR communications
· Support disciplinary processes, accommodations, investigations, and terminations
· Drives learning and development programs and initiatives
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
· Participate in process improvement, training delivery, and special HR projects
· Performs other duties as assigned.
