Boeing Australia is currently seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to join our team permanently onsite in Port Melbourne. You will have the opportunity to support Boeing Aerostructures Australia (BAA) – the country’s leading designer and manufacturer of advanced airplane components.
This role is a true ‘hands on’ generalist, affording the preferred candidate a career opportunity to work across engineering, manufacturing operations & corporate in a globally recognised brand.
You will be joining a dedicated team of HR professionals who have a passion for driving the delivery of right sized HR solutions that meet the goals and objectives of Boeing, and its commercial airplanes business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE):

  • Enjoy a breadth of business and employee facing HR roles working with frontline leaders - with employees and their representatives alike
  • Motivated by a dynamic work environment where you enjoy flexing across the breadth of HR work
  • Experience in employee relations – particularly case management with a working knowledge of modern awards, enterprise agreements, employment law and the industrial relations system
  • Stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and partnership building skills along with oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to be self-motivated and work autonomously, under pressure, and as part of a team
  • A working style that is reliable, responsive, and adaptable

    This role ideally suits a team member who is looking for experience in a globally connected engineering and manufacturing business and/or build experience navigating change in a dynamic business environment with a diverse employee base, and complex stakeholders including employee representatives.
Responsibilities
  • Provide HR solutions and action plans to a diverse range of business segments
  • Drive the resolution of employee relations issues, including grievances, complex case management, disciplinary actions and workplace investigations
  • Provide advice and coaching to managers and employees on policies and processes
  • Advise and coach managers on employee engagement, retention, culture change, performance & productivity and across employment lifecycle events
  • Contribute to the delivery of HR project initiatives aligned to high level organizational goals and the HR program of work- particularly in the areas of recruitment, building leadership capability, and inclusion
  • Continuously improve HR policies and procedures aligned to our culture, enhancing the employee experience, creating efficiency and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Proactively collaborate with senior HR BPs, subject matter experts and business service centers
