JOB SUMMARY

This position will work as part of a 9-person HR team and report to the HR Manager. The HR team works together to ensure legal compliance while building relationships at multiple levels to improve the safety, quality and productivity of all team members. Our HR team is required to work onsite; a hybrid role is not available.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required
  • Very steady work history required
  • 5+ years HR experience preferred
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred
  • 2+ years experience with investigations, employee relations and engagement
  • Extensive knowledge of employment laws and best practices
  • Overall familiarity with all areas of HR including recruitment, benefits, compliance, performance management and compensation;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization;
  • Flawless written communication skills;
  • Ability to work onsite M-F 8am-5pm
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment with many interruptions
  • Must be able to walk quickly and be willing to travel between three plants on a daily basis
  • Desire to grow and take on additional responsibilities in the future

Responsibilities
  • Investigate and respond to all employee relations issues in a consistent, confidential and legal manner
  • Take the lead on all performance management
  • Drive initiatives to help foster a positive company culture, focusing on engagement and retention
  • Counsel supervisors and managers on company practices and processes
  • Support talent acquisition by assisting with recruiting as needed
  • Perform annual compensation review and work with executive team to make decisions regarding compensation
  • Gather and/or analyze feedback and partner with HR and company leadership in identifying, developing, and implementing solutions for closing gaps or addressing needs
  • Maintain a presence in all plants and across all shifts;
  • Other HR-related duties as assigned.
