Job Title: Human Resources Generalist Department: People and Culture Status: Full-Time, exempt Reports To: Director of People and Culture Compensation Starting Pay: $60,000 annually Description of Typical Work Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm (Hours set based on necessity of department or office.) PURPOSE: The Human Resources Generalist provides support to the Human Resources Department for the execution of the full range of Human Resource services ensuring the transparency, integrity, and efficiency of HR services in Caritas Family Solutions. This role acts as a business partner in providing clear communication by actively listening, exhibiting patience, knowledge, and empathy to the customer base. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Plan and strategize HR programs with the Director of HR to benefit workplace culture and create job posts based on hiring needs. Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems. Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring to complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Stay up to date and compliant with changes in labor laws, HR-related policies, and hiring processes. Assist the HR Director and Administrative Managers in managing the recruitment and onboarding process of new employees. Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities. Contact job applicants to inform them of the status of their applications. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/PREFERRED Degree/Field Required: Bachelor's degree in any related field. Degree/Field Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Workforce Development, Psychology, or Public Administration (related fields will be considered). Experience Required: Minimum 3 years (Can be interchanged with equivalent experience from an advanced degree related to this job and/or with other relevant experience verified by applicant/incumbent). Licenses/Certifications Required: None Licenses/Certifications Preferred: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP SKILLS REQUIRED Trauma-informed: Must display a willingness to adopt trauma informed interventions, principles, and practices as well as commitment to ongoing development of their capacity for application of trauma informed care. Realizes the prevalence of trauma among persons served by Caritas and the general population. Recognizes how trauma affects everyone involved-including clients, their families, staff, and community; and impacts behaviors. Responds to trauma by actively implementing the guiding principles of trauma informed care into their daily practice. Resists re-traumatization of persons served and staff providing services, by creating safe, welcoming, and supportive environments. Proficient Computer Skills In: Excel Outlook PowerPoint Word Database Management Software Paycom HCMS is a plus VEHICLE RELATED REQUIREMENTS: Access to reliable transportation to get to/from work: Required.
