POSITION TYPE: Full-Time Non-Exempt (Hourly)
RATE: $28.84 - $37.50/hour

JOB SUMMARY

The HR Generalist supports the HR team and is responsible for various aspects of Human Resources performing routine HR duties, taking the lead role in daily operations, and assists in meeting all mandatory, regulatory, and operational needs. The HR Generalist supports the company’s mission, vision, and values, serving as the primary contact for HR support functions to include recruitment, onboarding, HRIS, payroll, employee relations, and benefits administration. The HR Generalist also assists in the planning and execution of various projects and events.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Associate’s Degree in Human Resources or related field; experience may be considered in lieu of Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Administrative Support (Human Resources preferred)
  • SHRM-CP, aPHR, or PHR preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Oral fluency in Cambodian, Laotian, Thai, or Vietnamese language preferred

  • Occasionally bend, reach to shoulder level and lift, carrying, twisting, pushing and/or pulling up to 40 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Serve as primary HR contact for management and floor employees
  • Process payroll and employee action forms
  • Administer employee compensation and benefits programs
  • Maintain accurate employee records and file paperwork
  • Assist in the writing of job descriptions and on-the-job training material
  • Conduct team member opinion surveys
  • Create and monitor job postings internally and externally; update Applicant Tracking System/recruiting system(s)
  • Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and schedule/coordinate in-person and virtual interviews
  • Coordinate annual Open Enrollment event and employee activities
  • Assist in the development of HR-related initiatives, processes, or procedures
  • Display desired culture and philosophies of the organization daily
  • Help identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions to improve the employee experience
  • Attend training events (e.g., conferences, exhibitions) to maintain current knowledge of the industry and latest technologies
  • Other duties as assigned
