Description
Overview Maintain, develop, and implement all employee records and information compilation and retrieval of personnel data, actions and changes with appropriate confidentiality and timeliness. Onboarding of new employees. First point of contact for general HR customer service items. Assists with the coordination of employee relations events. Provide policy and procedure guidance to employees and management. Assists in presenting required employment documents during regulatory Joint Commission surveys. Primary duty of performing office or non-manual work directly related to the management or general business operations of the employer or the employer’s customers. Primary duty includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment regarding matters of significance. Responsibilities • Maintain the flow of employee personnel action forms (PARs) for changes in employee status andcomputer input.• Review PARs for accuracy and consistency and appropriate approval before entry.• Assures accuracy of input data.• Onboards new employees. • Controls access to employee files, ensure filing of personnel information to proper files and auditfiles.• First point of contact for general HR customer service items• Furnish confidential information for audits, reference, and other purposes in accordance with legalrequirements.• Assists with the coordination of employee relations events• Assists department personnel by typing correspondence, reports, agendas, procedures, etc.,opening and sorting mail on an as needed basis.• Assured compliance with federal and state employment, compensation, and labor regulations.• Accurately interprets Human Resources policies and regulations.• Assists in pulling and presenting required employment documents during regulatory JointCommission surveys.• Represents DRMC at conferences and meetings relative to personnel activities.• Produce PAR and Evaluations for employee annual evaluation. Distribute in a timely manner toappropriate supervisor, tracking evaluations for timely return and notifying appropriateadministrator when delinquent.• Performed Human Resources administrative functions as needed.• Deal discreetly with large amounts of sensitive, confidential information concerning professionaland personal performance of staff and confidential information concerning hospital affairs,information contained in minutes, letters, and other documents.• Maintain and generate routine and special reports and records and collect statistical data foradministrative purpose. Qualifications Education Required: High school diploma Education Preferred: Associates Degree in business or related field preferred. Experience in Human Resources can be substituted. Experience: Prefer minimum of three years experience in Human Resources. Working knowledge of on-line main frame computer systems, HRIS, Kronos, Microsoft Office and spreadsheets. Responsibilities
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for maintaining employee records, onboarding new employees, and serving as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries. They also assist in coordinating employee relations events and ensure compliance with employment regulations.
