QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR generalist experience (preferably in food service, hospitality, or manufacturing).
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Experience in unionized environments preferred.
  • Airline/aviation industry knowledge a plus.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems (Workday, ADP, BambooHR, etc.).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools.
  • Knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with food safety, aviation security, and 24/7 operations.
  • Strong verbal and written skills; ability to engage a diverse, multilingual workforce.
  • Analytical skills to handle complex employee relations issues.
  • Maintain professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Experience working with a diverse, multicultural workforce.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and workplace issues (non-management roles).
  • Facilitate communication between management and staff across shifts and departments.
  • Partner with supervisors to address performance issues and implement corrective action plans.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and culture-building programs.
  • Assist with grievance procedures to maintain a positive labor relations environment.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain I-9 compliance and manage E-Verify processes.
  • Support aviation-specific compliance requirements (TSA, FAA, USDA).
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data integrity.
  • Prepare and submit reports (EEO, OSHA, wage/hour compliance).
  • Process terminations for non-management roles, including NCNS cases and quit notices.
  • Support leave of absence and ADA interactive process with third-party administrator.
  • Process worker’s compensation claims and coordinate return-to-work programs.
  • Support performance review processes and merit increase recommendations.
  • Partner with safety team to investigate incidents and near-misses.
  • Support development and delivery of safety training programs.
  • Ensure OSHA and food safety compliance.
  • Coordinate DOT-mandated drug and alcohol testing.
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims and medical treatment coordination.
  • Support ergonomic assessments and injury prevention programs.
