Description

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Generalist-Recruitment will have responsibility for all external recruitment including building relationships with external stakeholders to promote the Hospital as the employer of choice.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate the full recruitment cycle by posting positions, attracting candidates, evaluating resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews, and managing the hiring and onboarding of new employees
  • Develop and maintain relationships with post-secondary institutions to promote the Hospital as an employer of choice for student placements and permanent employment opportunities
  • Develop recruitment strategies for targeted positions
  • Collaborate with Volunteer coordinator to maintain relationships with high school co-op students as potential future hires
  • Responsible for the Hospital Wide Orientation process
  • Utilize Hospital Wide Orientation survey data and Exit Interview data to continuously improve onboarding process and retention efforts
  • Develop and maintain effective screening and interviewing tools to support the selection process
  • Collaborate with Communications on effectively implementing a social media recruitment strategy
  • Utilize LinkedIn and other online resources to actively seek candidates
  • Represent the Hospital at area job fairs
  • Support managers with the interview process including developing their interviewing skills
  • Monitor 30-60-90 review completion
  • Attend departmental staffing meetings
  • Maintain job description inventory for the hospital
  • Provide staffing support for internal stakeholders
  • Drive Recruitment process improvements
  • Act as an ambassador for Erie Shores HealthCare and assists in promoting and sustaining the desired culture
  • Abide, instill and demonstrate all provincial laws including privacy
  • Practice Health & Safety guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned or required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree or College diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration required
  • CHRP designation preferred
  • 3-5 years of Human Resources experience in Recruitment
  • Previous experience working in a health care setting preferred
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, web based software programs, and a strong knowledge of an HRIS system
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as the ability to manage and resolve conflict.
  • Have strong learning orientation focused on providing a positive customer experience for stakeholders
