Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist with excellent organizational and communication skills. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR functions, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and MassHealth Adult Foster Care (AFC) program regulations, and supporting company-wide initiatives. Under the direction of the HR Director, the HR Generalist will manage recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, policy development, and compliance processes.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Recruitment & Staffing: Recruit, screen, and onboard qualified staff and caregivers; conduct CORI/SORI, OIG, and license checks.
· Onboarding & Orientation: Facilitate orientation and regulatory training for all new hires.
· Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Address workplace conflicts and guide disciplinary processes.
· Peformance Management: Support the completion of performance and wage reviews; support staff evaluations.
· Policy Development & Compliance: Maintain HR policies aligned with AFC regulations and audits.
· Administrative & Reporting: Prepare HR metrics including productivity and assigned tasks, turnover reports, and compliance documentation.
· Employee Development: Coordinate annual training, continuing education, and development plans.
· Privacy & Confidentiality: Ensure HIPAA compliance in all HR functions.
Requirements
· HR certification or Associate Degree. .
· 2–3 years of HR experience, preferably in healthcare or home health settings.
· Knowledge of MassHealth Adult Foster Care regulations (130 CMR 408.000) strongly preferred.
· Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
· Experience with workplace investigations, corrective action, and regulatory compliance.
· Proficiency in HRIS systems, MS Office Suite, and personnel file management.
· Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor while managing sensitive information.
· Familiarity with employee credentialing and licensing processes for healthcare staff.
· Training in cultural competency and diversity initiatives.
· Experience working in a regulated healthcare or home health agency environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $49,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
