Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As an HR Generalist, you will oversee all aspects of HR - from onboarding new hires to managing employee relations and ensuring compliance. You will be instrumental in building scalable HR processes, providing guidance to employees and managers, and driving initiatives that enhance engagement and retention.
This role is ideal for someone who takes full ownership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is proactive in solving challenges. If you prefer taking initiative and finding solutions rather than waiting for direction, you will excel in this position.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding and orientation, maintaining accurate employee records, administering benefits and leaves, supporting employee relations, facilitating performance management and training, overseeing performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions, and coordinating offboarding processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Ontario ESA, OHRC, as well as other provincial and federal employment laws, and company policies
  • Act as a trusted HR advisor for employees and managers, providing guidance and resolving issues effectively
  • Maintain accurate HR records, ensure data integrity, and generate reports as needed
  • Support recruitment efforts during peak hiring periods
  • Lead HR initiatives to enhance employee experience, engagement, and retention
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline HR operations
