Description Job Summary: The Human Resources Generalist will lead the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department. This includes administrative HR functions like the oversight of recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new staff, maintaining personnel records, administering employee benefit plans, payroll functions, and developing and implementing new agency policies. They will serve as a general resource for all employees and the agency as a whole. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities: Address and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and fair manner. Conduct investigations into employee complaints and recommend appropriate action. Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace satisfaction and productivity. Oversee the performance appraisal process, providing guidance to supervisors when needed. Develop and implement performance improvement plans when necessary. Develop, implement, and update HR policies in compliance with relevant labor laws. Stay informed about changes in employment legislation. Manage employee benefits program(s). Manage and oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding. Collaborate with supervisors to understand staffing needs and ensure effective recruitment processes. Administer and oversee entire payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Process payroll transactions, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and bonuses. Manage HRIS system, which includes employee record, performance evaluations, company surveys, benefits administration, COBRA administration, PTO requests, and payroll administration. Serve as an advisor to the management team on best practices for the agency. Qualifications: Education: · Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience. Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management. Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships at all levels of the organization. Proficient in Paylocity HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
