THE ROLE: CULTIVATING OUR MOST VALUABLE ASSET

We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable HR Generalist to join our team and own the entire employee lifecycle. This role is pivotal in shaping our culture and ensuring our team—the visionaries, creators, and innovators who bring our projects to life—is supported, engaged, and empowered. You will be the champion of our culture and values, responsible for attracting exceptional talent, managing comprehensive benefits programs, and navigating the complexities of employee relations with empathy and professionalism. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on HR leader to build and refine processes that will directly contribute to our growth and success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:
  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, from partnering with leadership to define roles to sourcing, screening, and interviewing top-tier candidates.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to attract talent who align with our unique, multidisciplinary practice and build a robust talent pipeline for future needs.
  • Craft a seamless and engaging candidate experience that reflects the K5 brand and our commitment to human-centric design.
  • Benefits & Compensation Administration:
  • Lead the setup, administration, and auditing of all employee benefit programs, including health insurance, 401(k), and general liability insurance.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, brokers, and suppliers to ensure competitive and effective benefits offerings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits, leading open enrollment, and clearly explaining options and plans.
  • Employee Relations & Performance Management:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for employees and leadership, fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
  • Proactively address employee relations issues, providing guidance on HR policies and facilitating conflict resolution with a human-centric approach.

  • Onboarding & Offboarding:
  • Create and manage an inspiring onboarding experience that immerses new hires in the K5 culture and accelerates their integration into our team.
  • Conduct thoughtful and constructive offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth and respectful transition for departing employees.
  • HR Administration & Compliance:
  • Maintain meticulous employee records and manage all HR documentation within our systems (Gusto).
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and refine HR policies that reflect our company values of Humanity, Creativity, Connection, Balance, and Legacy .
