Salary Range: $70,000–$85,000 annually (DOE) About the role We're looking for a detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team and serve as a frontline resource for employees and managers. This is a hands-on, generalist role where you'll handle day-to-day HR operations — from employee inquiries and leave administration to workers' compensation and policy guidance — in close partnership with our HRBP and Senior HR Director. What you will do Own the HR inbox — triage employee and manager inquiries, resolve routine issues independently, and escalate complex matters appropriately Administer leaves of absence (FMLA, CFRA, disability, and company leaves), including tracking, documentation, and employee communication Coordinate workers' compensation claims from initial report through return-to-work and modified duty Maintain accurate employee records and data in HRIS Guide employees and managers on HR policies, programs, and procedures with consistency and professionalism Support employee lifecycle activities and day-to-day HR operations Assist with HR projects including policy rollouts, training programs, and process improvements What we are looking for 2–5 years of experience in a professional HR role Experience supporting leave administration (FMLA/CFRA) and workers' compensation preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Hands-on experience with an HRIS and/or Learning Management System Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Clear, professional communication — written and verbal
Responsibilities
The HR Generalist will manage day-to-day HR operations, including triaging employee inquiries and administering leaves of absence. They will also coordinate workers' compensation claims and maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS.
