The NEEDS Center is looking for an HR Generalist who will assist in running the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this is a great opportunity with a growing non-profit organization. Responsibilities will include: administering benefits, leaves, workers compensation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and enforcing company policies and practices.
This position is ONSITE Mon - Fri in our Andover, MA office
Hours are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Recruitment team with onboarding of new hires.
  • Assisting the Training Department with covering for orientation as needed, training tracking and follow-up with employees. Willingness to become a trainer for CPR/FA.
  • Assisting the Director of HR to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to workers compensation, benefits, and leaves; performance and talent management; recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety.
  • Assisting with preparing for licensing and audit reviews.
  • Participating and assisting the HR Director with open enrollment.
  • Assisting in helping with employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attending and participating in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
