Location: Kamloops/Barriere, BC- Hybrid, available to travel to factory in Barriere for part of the week.

Paradigm Building Solutions runs a state-of-the-art factory with high-end robotic equipment. Paradigm produces open and closed wood wall panels in Louis Creek, B.C, minutes south of Barrière. There are only a small number of companies in the world running such high-end equipment, and we have big plans to be the market-leader in sustainable and energy-efficient prefabricated wall panels in Canada. JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in supporting the overall employee experience and advancing HR initiatives across the Paradigm Group of Companies. This role is responsible for delivering a wide range of HR services including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training coordination, benefits administration, and compliance. The HR Generalist partners closely with employees and leaders to foster a positive workplace culture and drive continuous improvement in HR practices. This position reports directly to the HR Manager and collaborates regularly with the Onboarding and Recruitment Coordinator, as well as other functional leaders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or certification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency and experience with ADP or other HRIS implementation, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience with SharePoint is an asset.
  • Experience: 3-4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge: Excels with HR software and databases, understanding of BC labour laws and employment regulations and health and safety compliance.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills in high volume environment, strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Responsibilities
  • Act as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, supporting HR policy, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Lead and support full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and manage HRIS updates (e.g., SharePoint, ADP).
  • Coordinate training programs, track certifications, and support grant applications.
  • Support performance management cycles, including goal setting and evaluations.
  • Assist with benefits administration and employee wellness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Health & Safety Coordinator on WorkSafe BC reporting and safety documentation.
  • Contribute to HR policy development, compliance tracking, and process improvement.
  • Help plan and coordinate internal events and employee engagement activities.
  • Provide support on HR-related documentation, investigations, and reporting.
