Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The HR Generalist provides support in various Human Resource areas including but not limited to: performance management, employee relations, health and safety, recruitment & orientation.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Working knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), FMLA/CFRA compliance, and compensation analysis

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• 1-3 years experience in a similar role
• Previous experience in a Human Resources “Generalist” role in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset
• Previous experience supporting multiple business groups or sites is an asset

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now, and/or Workday HRIS preferred

  Level of Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration (Industrial Relations), or similar field from a accredited college/university

• A PHR or SHRM certification preferred

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $70600 to $90000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company’s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Legal Compliance:

• Responsible for understanding, interpreting and ensuring compliance with all relevant employment legislative requirements, including Human Rights Act, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Employment Standards Act, Workers Compensation Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, etc. Facilitate legal and regulatory compliance to all internal and external reporting entities by preparing and maintaining required reports and policies, handling unemployment claims, and conducting required investigations

Performance Management:

• Responsible for providing guidance and support on performance management concerns through fair and consistent application of appropriate disciplinary procedures and/or legal requirements
• Coach managers & supervisors to assist in their issue resolutions, professional development and team effectiveness
• Responsible for fostering an environment which encourages continuous learning and growth by working in partnership with managers and supervisors of direct reports to ensure development plans are appropriate, implemented and completed

RESPONSIBLE FOR RECRUITMENT:

• Attract and secure qualified personnel. Ensure that the recruitment process for hourly and salaried employees is carried out in accordance with legislative and the organizations requirements
• Create and provide new employees with a comprehensive onboarding program to enable a smooth transition into the Organization
