Description
HyPro is looking for an energetic people person to join our Human Resources and Safety Team.  Responsibilities * Oversees recruitment, hiring and staffing efforts * Process’s new hire paperwork, conducts employee onboarding and pre-employment screening * Identify and resolve compensation and benefits issues  * Supports processes, such as FMLA/LOA and Workers Compensation * Help coordinate and execute company functions * Answers and responds to phone calls and e-mail inquiries * Onsite plant safety coordinator responsible for promoting safety  * Administer employee reimbursement-based benefits programs * Regularly engages and interacts with employees on the plant floor through frequent “Shop Walks” * Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems. * Evaluates the effectiveness of safety programs in the plant * Responsible for purchasing card used to buy office and event supplies * Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications * Human Resources experience/background (preferred 2-5+ years’ experience) * Strong organization and time management/project management skills  * Proficient in Microsoft Office * Excellent communication skills * Demonstrated skills in employee relations with strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Exhibits sound judgment and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential situations and information * Possess a committed work ethic that values punctuality and attendance  * Ability to work night and weekend hours on rare occasions * Knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards a plus * Ability to conduct training
