Description

POSITION: HR GENERALIST

The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting employees and managers to help meet organizational objectives while carrying out the responsibilities of a modern and dynamic Human Resources department.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations (e.g., E-Verify, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation, OSHA, EEOC).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and related tools.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize HRIS and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is required.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration and implementation processes.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Must be fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role required.
  • Prior hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Support the HR Manager in processing payroll and managing timekeeping using the ADP Workforce Now platform.
  • Assist in coordinating annual employee benefits enrollment; communicate and collaborate with benefits brokers and insurance carriers.
  • Work with local staffing agencies and support recruitment activities as needed.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews, participate in the interview process, and assist with offer extensions to selected candidates.
  • Issue employee ID badges and enter new hire information into the HRIS.
  • Conduct new hire onboarding, including orientation and OSHA safety training.
  • Coordinate ongoing monthly OSHA trainings with third-party facilitators.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee quality and OSHA training in the HRIS.
  • Participate in disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations as needed.
  • Stay current with HR compliance requirements, industry best practices, and changes in employment law, HR technology, and talent management.
  • Track employee incentives and attendance-related notifications.
  • Perform additional HR-related tasks as assigned within the scope of the role.
