  Position:  Human Resources Generalist (Temp to Perm) Location:  Primarily onsite at our McDonough, GA Distribution Center The Opportunity:  Our Human Resources team at Horizon Group USA is looking for a talented temp-to-perm Human Resources Generalist.  This role will report to our VP of HR (located in NJ) and will provide dedicated support to our McDonough, GA Distribution Center.  As an extension of our Corporate HR Team, the Human Resources Generalist will be immersed in all things related to our Distribution Center staff and will support HR initiatives, projects and programs. The HR Generalist will be responsible for partnering with teams on HR related matters including onboarding, recruiting, employee relations, payroll, benefits, performance management and employee engagement. Our ideal candidate has previously worked in a Distribution Center and is comfortable with employee relations, disciplinary protocol, timecard management, workers comp, OSHA, and is well versed in ADP (our HR and payroll system).  It’s important to note that this is the sole HR onsite, so this individual will need to be comfortable handling all aspects of the role.   Responsibilities: * Manage the onboard of new hires and ensure compliance documentation is correct, completed and up-to-date.  * Manage bi-weekly time and attendance through the ADP Workforce Now system including paid time off requests, etc.. * Assist with benefits enrollment through ADP Workforce Now – inclusive of annual Open Enrollment administration. * Manage Georgia Leave of Absence administration.  * Build relationships with staff at all levels; assure that new employees integrate effectively into the organization; improve working relationships, increase employee engagement and improve associate retention. * Resolve employee relations issues (including conducting detailed and fair investigations) and provide coaching, counseling and guidance to management and staff as needed. * Support the temp-to-perm conversion process and partner with staffing agencies where needed. * Lead full-cycle Distribution Center related recruiting efforts (partner with hiring managers to develop a recruiting strategy for each role, assist in writing and posting job descriptions, sourcing, prescreening, scheduling interviews, maintaining Applicant Tracking system (ADP), extending and negotiating offers, offer letter development, providing regular communication and updates to key stakeholders). * Facilitate and conduct trainings for staff as needed, leading to positive associate outcomes. * Support all health, safety and well-being initiatives (such as fire drills). * Assist General Manager with employee engagement events and activities to continually enhance the organizational culture. * Other projects as determined by VP of HR & General Manager.   Skills and Qualifying Experience: * Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of Human Resource experience in a Distribution Center or Manufacturing environment, particularly with an hourly employee population. * Solid knowledge of employment law (GA State law preferred) is necessary for this role. * Must have the ability to work onsite in McDonough most days (there is some work from home flexibility). * ADP Workforce Now experience is required - payroll processing a plus but not a requirement. * Must have recruitment experience. * Ability to artfully conduct investigations and deliver recommendations based on details obtained. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Positive, collaborative team player.   About Us:  Horizon Group USA is an innovative creator of children’s craft & activity kits!
