We are seeking an HR Generalist who enjoys collaboration and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. Working as a strategic HR partner with your portfolio business line managers, you will administer employee transactions in all HR functions (recruitment, employee relations, performance management etc.). You will provide tactical, administrative, and professional HR support of our policies, communications, and work on various projects aligned with enhancing human resources services at Tetra Tech. A hybrid work schedule is available.

QUALIFICATIONS THAT WOULD MAKE YOU A GREAT CANDIDATE:

  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in Business/Commerce, with a specialization in Human Resources is preferred but experience in lieu will also be considered
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently as well as with teams
  • Experience with an ATS system (Taleo preferred) for recruitment and onboarding purposes
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective project management, time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively, think analytically, take initiative, and demonstrate leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at an advanced or expert level are required and experience using HRIS, ATS, and social media platforms in recruitment is an asset
  • Ability to engage, inspire, and influence people
  • Customer service orientation
  • Professional designation or working towards a designation in human resources (CPHR) is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Engaging with the Business: work with managers on staffing and recruitment, employee life cycle management, workforce and position planning, staff development, and performance management
  • Provide HR Administrative Support: deliver recruitment life cycle support (develop sourcing and job posting strategies, screen, review applications, interviews, conduct references, draft offer letters, and onboard employees), execute employee transactions, provide responses to employee inquiries
  • HR Delivery Excellence: support client groups by advising and coaching managers and employees on an array of topics including policies, procedures, and corporate employee programs
  • HR Program Enhancement: gain a broad exposure to the development, monitoring and improvement of HR policies, practices and programs; contribute to specific HR projects; participate in collaborative HR team initiatives; ensure HR services are aligned to internal client needs; identify new opportunities for HR to add value; and maintain leading-edge knowledge of HR issues
  • Leading and participating in HR projects: having exceptional attention to detail and innovative thinking
  • Promoting and maintaining: results-driven, continuous improvement, performance culture throughout the operation and recommending solutions and improvements to current HR processes and programs
