Description
The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire a Human Resources Generalist to join our Human Resources Department! This is a hybrid position, scheduled to begin on or after January 1, 2026, offering a combination of remote and in-person work that varies seasonally based on operational needs. $1,000 sign-on bonus available! We are looking for a HR Generalist that will provide comprehensive support in the administration and coordination of the Town’s human resources programs and initiatives. This role is responsible for managing the onboarding and offboarding of part-time and seasonal employees, administering HR systems and compliance programs, and supporting employee wellness and safety. The position also oversees the Town’s workers’ compensation program, ensuring compliance with Colorado requirements and maintaining the Cost Containment Certification. Additionally, this role leads the development and delivery of training materials and user resources for the Town’s HR platforms, including Greenhouse and Trakstar Perform, to promote consistent and effective use across all departments. Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below: Responsible for all tasks related to onboarding and offboarding part-time and seasonal employees across all Town departments. Duties include but not limited to collaborating with hiring managers offering the needed level of support, posting positions, reviewing job descriptions for accuracy, conducting new hire orientations, and completing exit interviews. Serves as the Subject Matter Expert and primary administrator for the Town’s applicant tracking system (Greenhouse) and performance review (Trakstar Perform) systems. Provides training for new users, supports hiring managers with navigation and troubleshooting, schedules interviews, and ensures systems are utilized efficiently and consistently. Conducts individual and group trainings during performance review periods and serves as the main point of contact for technical or process-related questions. Assists with the Town’s Wellness Program by scheduling workshops, coordinating logistics, arranging lunches, and distributing communications to all employees. Co-manages the Wellness Program in partnership with the HR Director, Wellness Committee, and the Town’s insurance wellness account manager, ensuring program continuity, participation, and measurable wellness engagement. Administers the full cycle of workers’ compensation claims, including educating employees and supervisors on reporting procedures, filing reports, coordinating with medical providers, injured employees, and the Town’s workers’ compensation insurance carrier. Monitors claim progress, maintains documentation, and ensures compliance with statutory and insurance reporting timelines. Assists the HR Director in managing timelines for other employee leave programs such as FMLA, HFWA, ADA accommodations, and other protected leaves. Coordinates communication between employees, supervisors, and benefits partners to ensure compliance and appropriate documentation. Supports the Town’s compliance with record retention policies, maintaining organized electronic and physical HR files in accordance with legal and policy requirements. Oversees and ensures compliance with the Town’s poster requirements, maintaining all mandated postings in an up-to-date condition and ensuring they are properly displayed and visible to all employees. Manages and oversees the employee anniversary recognition process, including preparing and distributing anniversary cards and maintaining the employee tenure list. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record preferred Must demonstrate flexibility in scheduling; work hours may vary according to departmental and seasonal operational needs, particularly during high-volume onboarding and offboarding periods for part-time and seasonal employees Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a closely related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience may be considered Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in human resources administration, preferably within a public sector or multi-departmental organization. Experience supporting functions such as onboarding, performance management, employee wellness, safety programs, and regulatory compliance is highly desirable. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Greenhouse (Applicant Tracking System) and Trakstar Perform (Performance Review System) preferred. Demonstrated ability to serve as a system administrator, provide user support, conduct training, and ensure consistent and effective utilization across departments. Comprehensive understanding of onboarding and offboarding processes, workers’ compensation administration, leave management, and cost containment certification compliance. In-depth knowledge of Colorado Workers’ Compensation laws, procedures, and reporting requirements, including coordination of claims, communication with medical providers, and compliance with the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) and CIRSA standards. Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment regulations, including FMLA, ADA, HFWA, and other protected leave programs. Ability to research, evaluate, and present training platforms and safety-related programs to support organizational development and compliance initiatives.
