United Structural Systems is looking to add a Human Resources Generalist to our team. The HR Generalist position is responsible for aligning business objectives with team members and management in designated business units. The position cultivates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and team members that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Creates and maintains a positive and high-performance culture that aligns with the Company’s values and integrates across all business units.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, performance evaluations, recognition, and team member engagement.
  • Attends weekly meetings with respective business units.
  • Ability to travel to applicable business units quarterly.
  • Consults with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the Leadership to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Processing weekly payroll utilizing ADP.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Develops contract terms for new hires and promotions.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Partners with leaders to identify, attract and recruit talent as needed.
  • Employee lifecycle management to include data entry into HR systems.
