QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Human Resources or related field preferred. PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • 3+ years of HR generalist experience required in manufacturing setting
  • Previous continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience preferred
  • Payroll experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Trustworthiness and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • HRIS knowledge
  • Great teamwork and collaboration

Responsibilities
  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information
  • Assists employees and supervisors with interpretation of HR policies and procedures
  • Leads the mid-year and annual performance review process
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
  • Facilitates or provides training to the workforce
  • Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs
  • Assists with payroll and benefit duties
  • Assists with recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, and temporary employees
  • Works with hiring managers to create each recruiting plan
  • Reviews applications and interviews applicants to match experience with specific job-related requirements
  • Conducts new-employee orientations
  • Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement
  • Leads and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Manages Learning Management System (LMS) and coordination of training modules and data analysis for reporting
