POSITION OVERVIEW

The Human Resources Generalist, as part of the Human Resources team, provides comprehensive human resources support across all areas of the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on recruiting top talent, developing employees, and ensuring compliance, safety, and alignment with WAV?s culture and strategic goals and legal requirements. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for administration of all facets of HR and will serve as a key partner to management and employees alike. Key responsibilities include general HR support, recruitment and talent acquisition, performance development, employee relations and engagement, compensation, benefits and payroll, and compliance and risk management for all departments within the WAV companies. This role requires considerable confidentiality, attention to detail, initiative, professionalism, tact, maturity, and judgment, as well as strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. The current HR team will consist of two generalists. One generalist will have primary responsibility for compensation, benefits and payroll and compliance, and one generalist will have primary responsibility for recruitment and talent acquisition, performance and development. Both generalists are responsible for employee relations and engagement and general HR support.

COMPENSATION, BENEFITS & PAYROLL

  • Maintain up-to-date compensation analysis and job descriptions for all positions
  • Conduct initial discovery for WAV?s employee benefits provider options and pricing
  • Assist in benefits benchmarking and provider evaluations
  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, renewals, reconciliations, and vendor coordination
  • Handle employee leaves of absence and related compliance
  • Manage payroll processes, including data entry, employee changes, and time-off tracking
  • Act as the primary contact for employee benefits and payroll questions
  • Manage employee termination process including exit interview, administration of necessary benefits continuation notification, collection of company equipment and property, benefits termination and security administration (account cancellation, etc.), notification and verification of termination of access to all company systems
