EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management
  • CPHR or working towards preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and HR systems required.
  • Previous experience working with ERP systems is an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Build and establish the HR department from scratch, including creating documentation, employment contracts, and HR policies and procedures, and HRIS implementation.
  • Champion the company culture by organizing and coordinating team events, social gatherings, and celebrations.
  • Facilitate and support employee committees for initiatives like evening socials, holiday gifts, and other engagement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial labor laws and regulations and company policies through effective documentation and processes.
  • Create, implement, and track new training programs to support employee development and align with company goals.
  • Support employee training initiatives and professional development programs.
  • Oversee all aspects of payroll, including processing employee salaries, ensuring accurate deductions, managing payroll records, and maintaining compliance with tax regulations and labor laws.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding processes.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance of employee files in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations, questions and concerns, fostering a positive and productive workplace environment.
  • Coordinate employee benefits programs, assist with enrollment, and address benefits-related inquiries.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.
