HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) ANALYST - PAYROLL, WORKDAY:

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Human Resources (HR) Analyst - Payroll, Workday for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office, moving to 4 days a week in November.

HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) ANALYST - PAYROLL, WORKDAY - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The project involves managing year-end processes in Workday, focusing on payroll and tax slip reconciliation. The role supports the HR Program Delivery & Service Centre, ensuring accurate payroll processing and compliance with regulatory requirements.

HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) ANALYST - PAYROLL, WORKDAY - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner Designation (or working towards completion)
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Federal/Provincial and U.S. payroll legislation
  • Sound knowledge of Workday, particularly in Year-end processes
  • Experience with in-house Payroll HRIS System, Workday
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis
  • Effective communication and strong analytical skills

HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) ANALYST - PAYROLL, WORKDAY – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience with high volume tax slip processing
  • Background in financial institutions
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of expatriate payroll management
  • Familiarity with shadow payrolls
Responsibilities
  • Balance year-end tax slips and complete government filings
  • Support expatriate assignments and globally mobile employees
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Provide payroll and year-end tax slip support for the CEO and Senior Executive Team
  • Manage end-to-end Board of Directors payrolls
  • Identify and prepare POIs for reconciliation
  • Review and correct taxes from reports
  • Resolve payroll inquiries and make process improvement recommendations
