Fancy change for breakfast? Apply to join the curious, agile, transformation champions that make up HR for one of the most acclaimed media groups in the UK.
It’s all about our people, whilst no two days remain the same, our baseline goals and values do! We seek to empower, inspire and support our employees to not only evolve and grow to deliver the business strategy, but equally to engage and feel proud of where they work.
We’re constantly striving to improve how our future and current employees onboard, perform, feel included, sharpen their skills to be their best, feel rewarded, recognised and fulfilled. Our talent is a key focus, our People plan promotes this. Through true partnership and collaboration, we play a role of confidant in one scenario and ambassador of best practice in the next. We can be the influencer or the listener, we’re here to add value every step of the journey one has within our organisation.
This programme will give you a holistic view of a high performing HR function. You will be immersed in our People strategy via a number of rotations within our generalist teams, and centres of excellence. Over the 22 months with us, you’ll likely move between our excellent business partnering team, to operations, talent acquisition & management and reward at the very least. You’ll also help us to realise our ambitions via transformation projects, such as solidifying our employee value proposition, so your research based mind set, analytical prowess and open approach to change kicks in here!
We want to continue to foster a diverse and conscientious environment. You don’t need a specific degree or background but it’s essential you’re passionate about making a difference, empathetic and that People are at the heart of your career aspirations. You’re willing to learn, make mistakes, and develop, you’ll be adaptable and eager to flex to support others. We’ll support you with a CIPD qualification alongside this programme, and it doesn’t stop there. You will have the opportunity to participate in learning sessions and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge. We want you to truly get a feel for what we do, so a rotation into a commercial team will also be available to support your journey to becoming a HR super star.
Applications for the programme will close on 18 February 2025 at 5pm. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications after this date.
Please apply with your CV, and a cover letter explaining why you would like to work for The Telegraph, why HR is of particular interest to you, and what makes you stand out for this role.
Assessment centres will be conducted on 16 May 2025 and you may be invited to complete pre-assessments beforehand. The successful candidates will join the team in September, 2025.
