Description Position Overview: The Human Resources Intern supports the Human Resources team in a variety of key functions, including hiring, employee engagement programs, and administrative tasks. This role will support hiring events, staff the HR counter, assist with candidate communications, maintain HR inventory, and contribute to employee programs. This position provides a well-rounded opportunity to gain practical HR experience in a dynamic fast-paced environment. Position Responsibilities: Assist with interviews and manage candidate check-ins and communications. Assist with welcome Events and form I-9 verifications. Staff the HR counter and assist with employee communications. Track, distribute, and maintain inventory of employee uniforms, including assisting with monthly inventory counts. Create team member badges and ensure accurate access to Pyek and Typhoon Texas systems. Record, distribute, and oversee physical forms of employee payment. Track and follow up on hiring progress and candidate statuses. Follow and enforce Pyek Group and Typhoon Texas policies and procedures, including documenting and notifying leadership when disciplinary action is necessary. Assist in planning, organizing, and promoting employee programs, including parties, incentives, and recognition events. Provide support for initiatives that enhance employee morale and engagement. Assist with the setup and take down of employee engagement events. Monitor hiring metrics. Provide intentional and Texas-friendly customer service and assist guests and team members with questions, directions, and other needs as requested. Proactively identify operational or equipment issues and partner with leadership or management to resolve them as appropriate. Embody Typhoon Texas’s moment making keys of intentionality, Texas-friendliness, safety, cleanliness, and fun throughout all departments. Assist with additional responsibilities, roles, departments, or park locations as needed. Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time. May be required to lift 20–50 lbs. May be required to work in various weather conditions, including direct sunlight, high temperatures, or rain. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of private company and employee information. Must be able to multitask and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with learning HRIS systems. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
