Position Overview The Human Resources Intern role will provide an opportunity to gain practical experience and insights into HR Operations. The HR intern performs various administrative tasks in support of the HR department. They update employee databases and excel sheets. Additionally, they address employee queries, distribute company policies, and participate in organizing company events. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in HR processes, allowing interns to gain a comprehensive understanding of HR functions and contribute to the smooth operation of the department. This role will support our Weekend Shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) 8 hours each day. Learning Outcomes: This internship will provide hands-on experience with HR programs, business practices and policies as well as daily operations and records retention, in a non-union manufacturing, Defense Contracting environment. Primary Responsibilities: * Providing administrative support to the HR Team * Entering and maintaining accurate data in multiple HR systems * Organize, schedule, and execute events in support of employee * Review exit surveys and schedule exit interviews Basic Requirements: Sparton interns must meet the following criteria: * Active pursuit of a Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress. * Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits) * Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above * Must be 18 years of age or older * Must be a U.S. Citizen * Must be able to work on-site in DeLeon Springs, FL Preferred Knowledge and Experience: * Experience as a Staff Assistant or similar entry level HR role is a plus * Experience with Excel, managing email, Canva, and Microsoft Office products * Organizational skills Mentor: Human Resource Coordinator Travel Requirement: None Safety All assignments are performed in compliance with applicable Federal, State, Provincial and Company safety and health regulations, and where applicable, utilize proper personal protective equipment.
