JOB SUMMARY

Lucky Supermarket is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to support HR operations at our Edmonton locations. In this role, you’ll help ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of our store workforce by managing staffing, training, employee relations, and compliance. Your work will directly impact store performance, team morale, and the customer experience.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail or grocery environment, enjoys working closely with frontline staff, and understands the unique challenges of shift-based workforces.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous HR experience in a retail, grocery, or food service setting is strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with multilingual and diverse teams.
• Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Experience with recruiting, onboarding

• Manage high-volume hiring for grocery roles such as cashiers, stock clerks, produce staff, and department leads.
• Screen applications, conduct interviews, and coordinate onboarding to ensure stores are fully staffed.
