QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset
  • 2–4 years of HR experience in similar role, preferably within Canada.
  • Knowledge of Canadian employment laws and standards (federal and provincial).
  • Experience handling employee grievances or providing first-line guidance on employee relations issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with HRIS systems is an asset.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Manager to join our Human Resources team. This role is a key point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, benefits, and grievance procedures. The HR Manager will support the full range of HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance, while ensuring a positive employee experience.
This role is ideal for an HR professional who has strong organizational skills, understands Canadian employment standards, and thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide day-to-day HR management and administrative support across all HR functions.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace standards.
  • Offer guidance to employees and managers, ensuring fair, timely, and confidential handling of concerns in line with company policy.
  • Escalate complex employee relations or grievance cases to the Head of Human Resources providing documentation and collaborating for resolution
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding process, including job postings, interview scheduling, reference checks, and new hire orientation.
  • Maintain and update employee records, contracts, while ensuring compliance with records keeping.
  • Coordinate performance management processes and assist in employee development initiatives.
  • Prepare HR reports and metrics to support leadership decision-making.
  • Liaise with payroll to support employee queries and ensure accuracy.
