Currently we are looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our growing team.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Manager is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and programs that support the company’s long-term objectives. This role collaborates closely with leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals, focusing on talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and organizational development. The HR Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping a positive and inclusive workplace culture, fostering employee satisfaction, attracting, developing, and retaining a skilled and motivated workforce.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong leadership abilities to mentor and guide the HR team, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Deep understanding of employment laws, HR policies, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risk. Specifically relating to manufacturing preferred. Certifications such as SPHR or SHRM are preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (preferred) and 5+ years of HR experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask, manage time well, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, credibility, professionalism, and strict confidentiality.
  • Understanding of manufacturing safety program requirements.
  • Experience documenting processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of KPI’s and metrics.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to learn HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Strong internet research skills.
  • Able to sit at a computer for extended periods.

Responsibilities
  • Drive initiatives for workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development while collaborating with leadership.
  • Design and manage recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes to attract top talent. This includes preparation of job postings, recruiting and screening candidates, scheduling and attending interviews, making recommendations to leadership, and onboarding new hires.
  • Manage employee relations by fostering a positive workplace culture, addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts as they arise. Work with managers to ensure effective employee communication and an open, collaborative environment.
  • Develop and implement retention strategies to reduce turnover and promote long-term employee satisfaction.
  • Provide training as needed for effective communication to create a fair, motivating workplace, promoting equity and respect.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying current with new and anticipated legislation, advising management on needed actions and enforcing adherence to requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, and new technologies in human resources and talent management, advising management as needed to ensure we remain competitive.
  • Develop and update HR policies to prevent legal issues, including discrimination, harassment, and other workplace concerns including DEI initiatives to support an all-inclusive workplace. Monitor progress and provide training to promote equity and respect across the organization.
  • Lead performance management by establishing and overseeing the performance review process, including setting benchmarks and providing resources for performance improvement.
  • Assist managers with all disciplinary action and terminations to advise on best practices and ensure compliance.
  • Review and design competitive compensation packages and benefits programs that align with market standards. Administer employee benefits programs, recommending plans and conducting annual open enrollments.
  • Ensure equity and fairness in pay practices and recommend adjustments to stay competitive.
  • Administer payroll and track employee attendance.
  • Responsible for maintaining and influencing a safety-conscious employee population. This includes driving health and safety related training and providing timely assistance in all injuries, accident investigation, and incident reporting.
