BACKGROUND AND SKILLS

  • CIPD minimum L5, ideally L7, or degree in human resources, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years HR experience at senior level, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to
  • adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with experience of Unions
  • Experience of Data Analytics and driving business through insights desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management and conflict resolution
  • skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), preferably ADP and Microsoft
  • Office Suite.
  • Ability to work off hours (early mornings/nights/weekends) occasionally as needed to
  • support all shifts and/ or business requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the UK people strategy, aligning with the Global approach
  • Lead the UK HR team, developing, coaching and mentoring team members.
  • Lead all aspects of the HR lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, benefits and overseeing payroll
  • Collaborate with UK leadership team members to develop a high-performance culture that aligns with the company and site’s operational goals.
  • Establish a coaching and feedback culture in the UK, providing coaching and feedback training to managers and employees.
  • Drive forward a step change in employee engagement, including leading employee engagement initiatives and implementing improvements informed by the employee engagement survey feedback.
  • Advise senior stakeholders on all ER issues, including leading on complex ER cases including performance management
  • Drive forward effective recruitment based on forward workforce plans
  • Lead and/or support, where required, global centre of excellence initiatives, transformation and projects.
  • Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances. Promoting open communication and resolving issues promptly.
