HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

Location: Mandeville, LA (On-site)
Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000/year + Full Benefits
Relocation: Yes – Regional (Surrounding states near Louisiana)
Experience Required: 3–5 years in HR (manufacturing/distribution environment preferred)
Education: Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Manager will lead all HR functions at the plant level—including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, policy administration, compliance, and employee engagement. This is a hands-on HR role requiring strong partnership with Plant Operations to drive retention, training, and workforce development. Candidates must have direct HR experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting, not just corporate.

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing/distribution.
  • Strong understanding of talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, training, and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal & state employment laws.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence plant leadership.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making abilities

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute staffing plans to meet production and operational needs.
  • Manage recruiting programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Partner with Plant Operations to design and implement retention initiatives.
  • Lead and resolve employee relations investigations and workplace concerns.
  • Administer corporate compensation and benefits programs at the plant level.
  • Oversee performance management: reviews, feedback, and goal-setting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Implement and track training programs for compliance and workforce development.
  • Interpret and enforce company policies, procedures, and HR standards.
  • Collaborate with Operations on safety and emergency response programs.
  • Maintain accurate HR systems including payroll, benefits, and Worker’s Compensation records.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as needed.
