QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient with troubleshooting, problem solving, development integration skills and prioritizing tasks.

  • Thorough knowledge of state & federal employment laws.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the company’s HRIS system (Paylocity).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE

Completion of a bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related discipline; and 5+ years’ experience in human resources (advanced level preferred); or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS SHRM/HRCI certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans and executes the administration and maintenance of payroll and employee benefits programs (i.e. 401k, Form 5500, insurance, etc.). Develops, implements and controls programs in a manner that ensures cost effectiveness, market competitiveness and internal equity among employees.
  • Manages HR-related processes: talent search & acquisition, onboarding, required training, employee performance, employee record management, offboarding, unemployment responses, audit compliance.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations; and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Provides support and guidance to supervisors and employees where sensitive questions and issues arise.
  • Oversees employee corrective action meetings, terminations and investigations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned special projects.
    SUPERVISORY/MENTORSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES May mentor interns.
