Location: Lilongwe, Malawi Employment Type: Full-time Reports to: Managing Director / General Manager Role Purpose The Human Resources Manager will play a critical turnaround role in stabilizing, professionalizing, and transforming the workforce of a growing but struggling hospitality business. The position requires a firm, hands-on leader who can reinforce HR policies, drive behavioral and mindset change, and rebuild a culture of accountability, service excellence, discipline, and performance. Key Responsibilities · Lead change management and culture transformation initiatives. · Reinforce and strictly enforce HR policies and compliance with Malawi labour laws. · Implement performance management systems and ensure accountability. · Manage employee relations, discipline, and conflict resolution. · Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning. · Design and deliver training focused on professionalism and service excellence. · Oversee HR administration, attendance, and payroll inputs. Qualifications and Experience · Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. · 5–8 years of HR experience, preferably in hospitality or service industries. · Proven experience in change management or turnaround environments. · Strong knowledge of Malawi labour laws.
