Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AS HR MANAGER:

The HR Manager is responsible for ensuring organizational excellence in Human Resources and Accounting support functions. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role partners with leaders across the organization to support hiring, employee engagement, compliance, and professional development. The HR Manager will design and execute programs that strengthen culture, streamline processes, and promote employee growth while ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage recruiting pipeline
  • Lead and oversee employee onboarding and exit processes
  • Monitor recruiting spend (Indeed, Facebook) for efficiency and ROI
  • Maintain accurate organizational chart and employee roster
  • Oversee maintenance of employee files (onboarding, evaluations, write-ups)
  • Manage unemployment claims and termination processes in compliance with labor laws
  • Administer employee system access, supplies, and job-related resources (including credit cards)
  • Monitor and manage time clock program, PTO, and attendance records
  • Ensure benefits programs (Medical, Dental, Vision, Group & Voluntary Life, and 401k) are administered properly
  • Manage monthly credit card expense reports
  • Process bi-monthly payroll
  • Monitor, refine, and support employee compensation and incentive programs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Employee Handbook
  • Manage pre-employment and ongoing compliance programs (drug tests, background checks, lead exams)
  • Interface with key vendors and brokers
  • Participate in weekly department meetings
  • Demonstrate initiative, determination, and proactive professional development
  • And other duties as assigned by CFO
