Description

Human Resources Manager

North Sydney, NSW | Full-time

About us

I’m in the Right is a nationwide accident management and replacement vehicle provider. We support not-at-fault drivers from the moment of an accident through to the finalisation of their claim, helping reduce stress, disruption and inconvenience through responsive, end-to-end service.

Established in 2014, we have grown into a fast-moving business with more than 100 employees and a fleet of more than 1,000 replacement vehicles across Australia. Our values are simple: put customers first, act with integrity, keep improving, take care of our people and do what we say we will do.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead HR across our multi-state business. Reporting to the General Counsel and Group Company Secretary, you will manage the full employee lifecycle and provide practical, commercially sound advice to the Executive Leadership Team, senior leaders and people managers.

This is a broad operational role for someone who enjoys being close to the business. You will build trusted relationships at every level, strengthen manager capability and help embed consistent, fair and effective people practices as the organisation continues to grow.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead core employee lifecycle processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, development, remuneration reviews and offboarding.
  • Provide practical advice and hands-on support across employee relations matters, including performance management, grievances, investigations, disciplinary processes and terminations.
  • Coach managers to lead their teams confidently and manage difficult conversations, conflict, performance and recruitment decisions.
  • Develop, implement and review HR policies, procedures, frameworks and training programs.
  • Support workforce planning, organisational structure, succession planning and capability development.
  • Coordinate engagement surveys, culture reviews, stay interviews and exit interviews, and recommend practical actions.
  • Support WHS compliance, including psychosocial risk management, workers compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
  • Maintain Employment Hero, employee records and accurate workforce data.
  • Prepare clear monthly HR reporting for the CEO and Board, identifying key trends, risks and recommended actions.
  • Help maintain compliance with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, modern awards and relevant employment and WHS legislation.
