Fantastic opportunity for a part-time HR Manager for a built environment consultancy working in the fields of Structural Engineering, Conservation and Urban Design with a focus on sustainability. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part time HR Manager, in a stand-alone role, to develop the approach to people-related policies and issues in line with the business strategy and to ensure a happy and productive workplace fo the talented team of c.90 employees. You will promote the company ethos and values to support the executive board of directors to shape a positive culture where individuals strive to fulfil their potential. We are looking for a strong HR Manager who is people-focused with the potential to develop their role as a key member of our management structure.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Directors and Senior managers to review and implement people processes and policies in line with the company ethos
  • Supporting leaders and managers with HR matters, with a focus on people and best practice.
  • Supporting any ER matters, such as disciplinary, performance and absence issues.
  • Responsibility for recruitment processes, hiring experienced candidates and graduates. Including recruitment campaigns.
  • Develop HR Strategies, and maintain our records and systems across the organisation.
  • Reviewing induction and mentoring processes.
  • Nurture a positive working environment.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that allows individuals to thrive within our organisation.
  • Maintain salary and benefits programme.
  • Assess the career development needs of individuals and disciplines and develop our framework that will support strong career development.
  • Report to management and provide support to management decisions
  • Ensure legal compliance through human resource management.

  • Experience working in an HR Manager role in an SME
  • People-oriented, influential and approachable
  • People and outcome driven
  • Highly organised and proficient at maintaining excellent records
  • Strong ability to monitor performance and support individuals in their career goals
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Emotionally intelligent and able to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
